Fee Waiver Policy Thai National Interest Updated: 30 January 2026
Posted on 2026-02-02- 1. Eligibility for Fee Waiver
Fee waivers may be considered on a case-by-case basis for authors who demonstrate one or more of the following conditions:
- Authors based in countries affected by armed conflict, humanitarian crises, or large-scale forced displacement
- Authors facing severe financial or institutional constraints that demonstrably limit their ability to pay the APC
- Other exceptional circumstances deemed appropriate by the Editorial Board
- 2. Principles Governing Fee Waivers
- Fee waivers are not automatic and are granted at the discretion of the Editorial Board
- Requests for fee waivers do not influence editorial or peer review decisions
- All manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of academic quality and relevance
- 3. Application Procedure
- Requests for a fee waiver must be submitted after initial manuscript submission and before the initiation of peer review
- Authors may be asked to provide brief supporting information to justify the request
- Decisions regarding fee waivers are final and not subject to appeal
- 4. Transparency Statement
The fee waiver policy is published in accordance with the transparency requirements of the Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI) and reflects the journal’s commitment to ethical publishing practices.
